Weekly Inspiration

“Look at you. You’re young. And you’re scared. Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop swallowing your words. Stop caring what other people think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want?”

Inspiring Material

A little while ago there was a shop featured on etsy called pollenArts.

This husband and wife team have a blog which I bookmarked back when they were featured, and I finally had a chance to sit and read it on the weekend (they have some lengthy posts!). If your looking for a little inspiration this rainy Monday morning, check out this blog: http://thewinnebagodiaries.blogspot.com/

They are absolutely blowing my mind right now and I have no doubt that if you read it, it will take you to a place where you feel you need to sit down and make some serious changes in your life. I know I do - but I'll get into that later.

Happy Monday! And Go Canucks Go!

Vancouver Spirit

Right now is an exciting time to be in Vancouver. Some say it even tops the spirit we had during the Olympics. This is good news to be because I was out of the country for the whole segment of the Olympics and am always told I missed out on the celebrations (but really, I was on a 5 week wildlife expedition in Africa, what could be more exciting than that?!)

I'm really thinking that this is our year and it's on a lot of people's bucket lists to see the Canucks with the cup so here is to hoping! Go Canucks Go!

Being in the Canadian spirit I whipped up this soap for Canada Day:

It's scented in Maple Sugar which I thought was pretty fitting! Unfortunately the pictures are ugly and yellow because SOMEONE (my boyfriend) made me destroy my cardboard light box during our move because it took up too much space. :(

We'll have to make a new one!

Lip Balm

I've been making lip balm from scratch for quite some time now, but I finally got my act together and made some labels. I am so happy with it all and will be listing a few flavours next week in my store!
